Packaging: Our food is packed in double walled enamalized cans utilizing a process that removes the oxygen resulting in maximum shelf life.

 
Can Size: The #10 Can is about the size of a large coffee can. Also, the #10 Can comes with an additional separate removable plastic lid, which is used after the airtight seal of the can is broken.

 
Shelf Life: The shelf life of our food is 7-15 years, depending upon storage
conditions. After the can is opened it will last for about 18 months depending on the humidity and your handling of the food.

 
Proper Storage: Ideally, your food should be stored in a cool spot such as a cellar or basement. Elevate boxes off the floor to insure good circulation by placing the cases on pallets or on shelves. Foods last longer stored in cool areas but should not be stored in freezing temperatures.

Use:		 Because you don’t want to make major dietary changes in times of emergency, we recommend incorporating your stored food into your diet. If you are not already eating similar foods in your current diet, add them in gradually versus making sudden changes. This is especially important for those who suffer from allergies or food sensitivities.
